Class SplashScreen

java.lang.Object
  extended by java.awt.Component
      extended by java.awt.Container
          extended by java.awt.Window
              extended by javax.swing.JWindow
                  extended by edu.mit.sketch.clocksketch.gui.SplashScreen
All Implemented Interfaces:
java.awt.image.ImageObserver, java.awt.MenuContainer, java.io.Serializable, javax.accessibility.Accessible, javax.swing.RootPaneContainer

public class SplashScreen
extends javax.swing.JWindow

SplashScreen is a factory class that displays a splash screen while a program is loading. Since there should only ever be one of these at any given time, it makes sense to use a factory constructor, that way, the splash screen can also be opened and closed by different parts of the application.
