Sketch recognition is defined as the automated understanding of a hand drawn diagram by a computer. The goal of this workshop is to provide a forum for researchers of sketch recognition that allows for discussions about and demonstrations of emerging technologies in the field of sketch recognition.

Topics in sketch recognition include: development of new algorithms for sketch recognition; development, use, and impact of sketch-recognition-based applications; user interface implications of pen- or touch-based interaction; and development of and commentary on interaction modalities.
